Burlington Transit is free all day. Free shuttles from the GO station start at noon and run until 11:30 p.m., dropping off at Lakeshore and Brock. Parking will be tight so the city suggest to avoid driving!

Bounce Houses At The Mall 🎉

The Royal Duck Instagram

One of the world's largest bounce houses is coming to Burlington Centre next month. The Royal Duck Bounce Park opens July 9 in a section of the mall's parking lot and runs through August 2.

The attraction spans more than 2,000 square metres and can handle dozens of bouncing families at once. It's open 3 to 9 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekends, with tickets starting at $28.99.

This looks like it would be just as fun for the adults as it would for the kids…

Aldershot Towers Face Review 🏗️

A major highrise plan beside Aldershot GO is heading to public engagement, and it could reshape one of Burlington’s busiest transit areas. Infrastructure Ontario is proposing a 2,715-unit community on the vacant Masonry Court site, just south of the station. The plan includes six towers between 30 and 48 storeys, plus retail and commercial space.

Residents can learn more and share feedback at two sessions: virtual on Tuesday, July 7 from 6:30-8pm, and in person on Tuesday, July 14 from 6-8pm at Central Arena.

Burlington wants the project reviewed through the city’s normal zoning process, rather than a provincial Minister’s Zoning Order.

Pet Spotlight: Meet Brock! 🐶

Brock is a sweet, loving two-year-old dog looking for a family to call his own. His foster mom describes him as the perfect companion for a quiet, laid-back home. He loves spending time with his people and gives 150% of himself every day.

Brock recently had one eye removed due to a severe infection. He has healed beautifully and continues to take life in stride with a positive attitude and wagging tail.

This medium-sized boy has so much love to give and is ready to share it with a forever family. Could Brock be the companion you've been searching for?

Blue Gala Raises $302K 🎉

The Conservation Halton Foundation raised a record $302,000 at its eighth annual Blue Gala earlier this month, with funds going toward water-based education and recreation programs for local kids.

More than 365 guests gathered at Area 8 Conservation Area on June 11 for the event, which featured a fireside chat with Canadian musician Jim Cuddy and a performance by the Jim Cuddy Trio. Together with the Blue Community campaign the following weekend, the organization brought in $345,065 total.

The money will support programs like the Halton Children's Water Festival, which has reached more than 50,000 youth since it started.
