Kinton Ramen

A new ramen spot is on its way to downtown Burlington! Popular ramen chain Kinton Ramen is preparing to bring its signature noodle bowls to Lakeshore, giving downtown residents another option for a warm, satisfying meal.

Known for its Japanese-inspired ramen, Kinton serves up bowls featuring rich, flavourful broths, noodles, and a variety of toppings. The menu at its locations includes favourites such as pork and chicken ramen, spicy options and vegetarian choices. Guests can also enjoy sides like Japanese dumplings, karaage fried chicken and takoyaki.

The company's website currently lists Lakeshore Burlington as “Coming Soon.” It will be Kinton's second Burlington location, joining the restaurant at 2500 Appleby Line. No official opening date or further location details have been announced yet.

Whether you're looking for a cozy lunch, a casual dinner with friends, or something comforting on a chilly evening, another ramen option downtown is sure to get local food lovers talking.

Vintage Harvard Aircraft to Fly Over Burlington for Remembrance Day ✈️

Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum

Look to the skies this Remembrance Day. Burlington residents will have a special opportunity to witness a moving tribute as four vintage Harvard aircraft fly over downtown on Wednesday, November 11th.

The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association will perform a flyby in a symbolic “Missing Man” formation, honouring those who lost their lives in aerial combat. The formation leaves a space among the aircraft as a tribute to fallen pilots and service members. The planes are expected to pass over the Burlington Cenotaph at Veteran Square at approximately 10:45 am, just before the annual Remembrance Day service begins at 11:00 am.

If you're attending the downtown ceremony, be sure to look up and take a moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Free Santa Photos for Local Families! 🎅

PSW

The holiday season is all about making memories, and one local group is helping Burlington families do just that. PSW to the Rescue is teaming up with local businesses and community partners to offer free photos with Santa Claus for children and their families.

The festive event takes place on Friday, November 13th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Williams Fresh Cafe, 1250 Brant Street.

Organized by Vanessa Vargas, the event was created to make holiday traditions more accessible for families who may find the cost of mall Santa photos difficult to manage. Local photographer Shehnila Photography and Make A Great Pass are also helping bring the event to life. Alongside Santa photos, community organizations will be on site to share information about educational programs and financial support resources.

Advance RSVP is requested to reserve a spot. It's a wonderful reminder that the best holiday memories are just around the corner!
