Together With Divinity Wellness

Not every wellness experience is about fixing something. Sometimes it's simply about feeling good, meeting great people, and making space for yourself. That's the spirit behind Divinity Wellness.
Each month, our community comes together for sound healing, meditation, breathwork, restorative yoga, Reiki, wellness talks, and more, all designed to help people reconnect, recharge, and try something new.
What we love most is seeing people arrive on their own and leave feeling like they've found their people.
Many events take place in our Energy Enhancement (EE) System room, combining light, frequency, and relaxation technology for rest and reflection. We also offer acupuncture, registered massage therapy, lymphatic drainage, and other holistic modalities. And yes, we even host sessions for pets.
Come for an event. Stay for the experience. As a thank you to Burlington Digest readers, enjoy a complimentary 2-hour EE System session ($130 value) with any event purchase, for a limited time.
✨ Connect. Recharge. Belong. ✨

Rooftop Concert Series Returns 🎶

Music from the Rooftop is back at Joseph Brant Museum this summer, bringing four Friday-night concerts to the museum's rooftop overlooking the waterfront.
The series kicked off this past Friday with Michelle Hedley, and continues with Jeremy Guther on July 24, Starla Silvestri on August 7, and Mo Guzman closing things out on August 21. Each show runs about an hour and starts at 7:30 p.m., with doors at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 and available online. Snacks and drinks will be sold on site, and attendees can check out the museum's latest exhibits, including the Eat, Make, Share special exhibition.
Headon Townhouses Move Forward 🏗
Burlington council has approved an eight-unit townhouse development at 2105 Headon Road, despite concerns from nearby residents who started a petition against the project.
The site near Tuck Creek and Cleaver Park would replace a single detached house with eight three-bedroom townhomes, each with two parking spaces and two visitor spots for the entire development.
Residents are worried about added traffic and overflow parking during holidays, but city transportation staff say the development would add only about five trips in the morning and five in the afternoon.
The final vote is on July 21.
Bounce Park Opening Delayed 🦆
The Royal Duck Bounce Park, which was set to open at Burlington Centre this month, is now on hold.
The 2,000-square-metre inflatable castle, billed as one of the world's largest, isn't ready. The operator says it needs more time to get the setup to its safety standards, and no new opening date has been set. Anyone who already bought tickets is getting an automatic full refund.
Ticket-holders and followers will be first to hear when a new date is set.

World Cup Party Beats Storm ⚽

cityburlington Instagram
Hundreds of locals turned out for a Canada Celebrates World Cup watch party at Spencer Smith Park this past Thursday, despite a thunderstorm that rolled through midway and forced a short pause.
The event kicked off at 1 p.m. with header challenges, soccer ski-ball, and a mini pitch for kids. Families came from across the region, though most were local. Mayor Marianne Meed Ward opened the event alongside MP Karina Gould, MPP Natalie Pierre, and Secretary of State for Sport Adam van Koeverden, all praising Canada's first-ever World Cup win and knockout round appearance.
Around 2:45 p.m., high winds and lightning cleared the park just as the France-Morocco quarterfinal started. Once the storm passed, residents returned with lawn chairs to catch the rest of the game on the waterfront.
Emma Maltais Leads Workout 🏆
Olympic gold medalist Emma Maltais spent Thursday afternoon last week leading a workout at the Planet Fitness on Guelph Line, showing a group of young participants her own training routine.
The 26-year-old Burlington hockey star, who just signed a two-year deal with Montreal's PWHL team after three seasons with Toronto, walked the group through stretches, treadmill warmups, and strength exercises. She emphasized proper squat form, heels down, knees at 90 degrees, back straight, and shared dumbbell moves from her own regimen.
The gym temporarily rebranded as Maltais Planet Fitness for the event, part of a partnership with Hockey Canada aimed at encouraging teens to stay active. Next week, she's running a youth hockey camp at Appleby Arena.
